A Year in the Making…

It’s hard to believe that it was almost a year ago to the day, that A Jock’s Guide was born. By accident.
One rainy dismal night of fudge making, turned into 11 episodes of hilarity, learning and great food… not to mention, a fan base that has blown me away with their support. I am so grateful.

Many people have asked me about my show. Why am I doing it? How do I come up with the ideas? Am I really doing it for free? What does KidSport have to do with it?

It’s simple really.

The show is really about giving. Putting out positive energy into the ethos in hopes of making someone smile, laugh…. and remind people that you don’t have to be great at something to have fun at it  (i.e. me + cooking = failures a plenty but lots of fun). And yes, I do it for free. Happily.

I’m doing the show because I am inherently an uber-creative person who loves to tell stories, laugh, learn… and I love food. Why KidSport Ontario?  I’m a teacher, competitive athlete and lover of kids. I have witnessed and experienced the benefits of sports and how they help to foster a healthy body, soul and heart in our kids AND if my site generates traffic, then who knows, maybe someone will see the link to KidSport and give it a click. :)

Just a big thank you to everyone who has been supporting the show, and sharing it. Your feedback and encouragement has been such a blessing.

Love always,

The Jock
